Prośba o przetłumaczenie zdanka...
Wiem, że koniec szkoły jest, ale wątek chyba najlepiej pasuje do takiej kategorii tematycznej :›.
O co chodzi? Czytam sobie książkę (pisana angielszczyzną) i natrafiłem na taki początek zdania: "As fate would have it"... Co to może znaczyć?

Jedno pytanko: to taki Twój fetysz, że czytając obcojęzyczną książkę musisz znać znaczenie każdego jednego słówka/zwrotu/wyrażenia? :/
Wg mnie można by to w wolnym tłumaczeniu przełożyć jako "Na domiar złego...", ale można też pokombinować coś z losem/przeznaczeniem, np. "Jakby to była kwestia przeznaczenia..." "Dla dopełnienia złego losu..." i inne podobne stworki ;)

Ja przetłumaczyłbym: 'jako, że nieszczęścia chodzą parami, gwałtowny wiatr...'
wiem, że istnieje idiom "it never rains, but it pours", który odpowiada tym naszym nieszczęściom, ale wydaje mi się, że początek zdania tak właśnie można by przetłumaczyć.
