He was born in Três Corações, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the son of Fluminense Football Club footballer João Ramos do Nascimento, also known as Dondinho.

He was named after American bulb inventor Thomas Edison, and did not receive the nickname "Pelé" until his school days. He originally disliked the nickname, but the more he complained the more he was called by it. Later in life, when reflecting that the world came to know the name, he stated his belief that it was chosen for him by God. The fans loved him.

Growing up in poverty on the streets of Bauru, São Paulo, he could not afford a football and usually played with either a sock stuffed with papers or a grapefruit. He was given his first leather ball on his sixth birthday by his father's teammate, Sosa. At the age of eleven, Pelé was scouted by Brazilian legend Waldemar de Brito and was invited to join de Brito's amateur team, Clube Atlético Bauru. In 1956, Pele's mentor took him to the city of São Paulo, to try out for professional club Santos Futebol Clube.

De Brito told the directors at Santos that the 15-year-old would be "the greatest football player in the world". Pelé was offered professional terms and scored four goals in his first league game. When the new season started, Pelé was given a starting place in the first team and, at the age of just sixteen, became the top scorer in the league. Just ten months after signing professionally, the teenager was called up to the Brazilian national team.

In Football World Cup 1958, Pelé became the youngest ever World Cup winner in Sweden at 17, scoring two goals in the final as Brazil crushed Sweden 5–2 in Stockholm. He played in three more Brazilian World Cup teams in 1962, 1966 and 1970, two of which Brazil won (1962 and 1970).

Although his contributions were limited in the 1962 and 1966 campaigns because of injuries inflicted by opposition players, the 1970 tournament in Mexico was to be Pelé's last. The 1970 team, featuring famous players like Rivelino, Jairzinho, Gérson, and Tostão, is often considered to be the greatest team ever.

Brazil defeated Italy 4–1 in the final, with Pelé scoring one and gloriously setting up Carlos Alberto for another in what some still consider to be the finest ever World Cup.

Pelé's technique and deft touch combined with his dribbling skills and scoring ability cannot be overstated. His most spectacular signature move was probably the "bicycle kick". He scored over twelve hundred career goals in all competitions, the biggest haul by far among famous players.

After his retirement from Brazilian football on 2 October 1974, he joined the New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League. A reported $7,000,000 contract for three years made him the highest paid soccer player of the North American Soccer League.

During the three seasons playing for the Cosmos he was named in the annual NASL First Team: the 11 best players of a particular season. He was also named as the league's most valuable player in 1976.

His lucrative contract for Cosmos meant that Pele had to play in the regular US-based NASL season but also travel the World playing many exhibition games. During the 3 years Pele played for Cosmos, he played matches in countries such as: China, Japan, Sweden, Bermuda and Uganda.

In his final year as a professional player, the NY Cosmos won the 1977 NASL Championship. During that season Pele was joined by fellow Brazilian Carlos Alberto and "the Kaiser", Franz Beckenbauer.

He played his last game as a professional in a friendly on October 1, 1977, in front of a capacity crowd at Giants Stadium against his old club, Santos; he played the first half with the Cosmos and the second half with Santos. The exhibition game was sold out six weeks beforehand.

Pelé did appear in a few friendly games for the Cosmos after he retired in 1977. Due to falling attendances the Cosmos did try to bring Pelé out of retirement a second time, but he declined.

He was received in the Vatican by three popes, John XXIII, Paul VI and John Paul II.

In 1995, President Cardoso appointed Pelé to the position of Minister of Sports.

Pelé is a long-standing contributor for children's rights at UNICEF and acts as the figurehead of a charity for erectile dysfunction. Pelé is certainly one of the most famous men in football, with his nickname being recognized even by those unfamiliar with the sport.

In 2005, Pelé drew international media attention due to the imprisonment of Edson Cholbi Nascimento, his son and ex-goalkeeper of Santos Futebol Clube, who was arrested in an operation to dismantle a drug gang in southeastern Brazil.

Nascimento, the younger (then 35) was arrested along with some 50 other people after an eight-month investigation into a cocaine trafficking operation in the port city of Santos.

Recently Pelé scouted for Premiership Football Team Fulham FC.

Rocco Siffredi (born Rocco Tano on May 4th, 1964 in Ortona Mare, Italy) is a former pornographic actor, now working as a director and producer of pornographic movies. In his choice of screen name, Rocco was allegedly inspired by a character from the movie Borsalino (1970), "Roch Siffredi", played by Alain Delon. He is also known as 'the Italian Stallion', a name he was given in reference to a feature of his anatomy. As of 2005, he has starred in over 1,300 pornographic films. He is credited with helping launch the careers of porn stars Nacho Vidal and Kelly Stafford.

After starting his film career in France, he subsequently starred in films abroad in such varied locales as Budapest, Hungary (which later became the headquarters of his production company, Rocco Siffredi Produzioni), Montreal, Canada, Russia, Brazil, and various Eastern European countries. He became infamous in the pornographic film community for his penchant for anal sex, which built him a cult following over the course of his career.

Rocco's films are widely varied in content and tone. He has appeared in romantic adventures and comedies in the Vivid style, but his later work with John Stagliano's Evil Angel Video is informed by the artistic philosophy and vision of Max Hardcore. In these later films, Rocco spits on women, slaps them, performs irrumatio and watersports (censored in U.S. versions), makes his co-stars gag during deepthroat, and pulls hair to the point of causing tears. On rare occasion, Rocco himself has been the recipient of harsh sexual treatment, portraying the submissive in a BDSM scene in the films Rocco più che mai a Londra 2 and Il Marchese de Sade, the latter in which he appears in drag.

The productions in which Rocco directed as well as starred are considered by many to have broken new grounds in hardcore pornography. Many of his films begin with affectionate, romantic scenes. A point is then reached when the film begins to quickly degenerate from a romance into scenes of marathon, violent anal sex. Shocking climaxes often involve such activities as Rocco focusing the camera on the distended anus of one of his female co-stars, spitting into it, ejaculating into it, and then, in scenes meant to imply breaking the fourth wall, demanding that other co-stars clean the woman's anus with their tongues. Another hallmark of Rocco's films is allowing male fans, picked up by the production crew, to ejaculate onto the faces of his female costars; Rocco took this tradition one step further when directing Never Say Never To Rocco Siffredi, when, filming in a park, Rocco grabbed passing strangers and then requested that his female co-stars perform oral sex on them. Despite the violent, brutal nature of Rocco's genre of pornography, he has been consistently able to find young European actresses willing to star in his pictures.

Siffredi has sometimes compiled his work into different thematic series, each with numerous installments:

Rocco's Initiations feature the actor pairing with various young European starlets or attractive girls off the street, most of whom are (or seem) new to pornography.
Rocco's True Anal Stories features Siffredi and other actors with more established (and invariably beautiful) female performers, all of whom show greater experience with and desire for anal sex.
Rocco - Animal Trainer is Siffredi's roughest line and the one which has garnered him the most fame in America. The series features female porn stars who are considered to be the most seasoned, jaded, or most open to extreme sexual practices, being pushed to the absolute limit. There is a heavy emphasis on rougher, more sadistic sex, with hard facial slapping, violent hair-pulling and scenes of extremely abusive anal sex. (Rumours persist in many online forums of the availability of 'uncut' versions of this line through assorted vendors within Europe, with the various scenes of abuse all reportedly extended, more detailed, and more brutal). In Animal Trainer 15, Siffredi engages in rough anal sex with American porn actress Jewel De'Nyle, and forces her head into a toilet during the final scene, a technique that seems to help him achieve climax. (The image of Siffredi dunking a gasping female performer's head into and out of a water-filled toilet bowl has become a key graphic in the promotional artwork for many of his European releases).
To the surprise of many of his American fans, Siffredi has recently added a she-male title (She-Males Invade Italy) to his list of credits, and directed a film which includes an authentic sequence depicting an actress engaging in bestiality (Hazardous Duty), an indication to some of Rocco's quest to push any and all limits of what is portrayed in pornography.

Rocco is one of few porn actors to enjoy cross-over appeal and success with respect to other segments of the adult-film industry, as well as in mainstream media. As a primary example, although his acting has been restricted exclusively to heterosexual pornography, his good looks have resulted in his attraction of a large gay audience. As well, in 1999, he appeared in the controversial Catherine Breillat film Romance X. His impressive performance in this role, in which groundbreaking cinematic themes were explored, was followed by a part specifically written for him by the same director in her 2003 film Anatomie de L'enfer (Anatomy of Hell), in which he plays a gay man who becomes sexually involved with a woman. Both films feature unsimulated sexual scenes involving Siffredi, although it is disputed whether he actually has intercourse with co-star Caroline Ducey in Romance X (she says no, Siffredi says yes).

Rocco has been married to Hungarian-born, naturalised Italian porn actress and a former Miss Hungary Rosa Caracciolo (born Rozsa Tassi) since 1991. In June 2004, Siffredi declared, for the sake of his children, that he would retire from porn, and instead focus on filming and producing. He was quoted as saying, "My children are growing up, and I can no longer just say 'Dad is going to work to make money for the family.' They want to know more."

Keanu Charles Reeves (born September 2, 1964) is a Canadian Hollywood actor and musician (bassist). He is perhaps best known for his roles in comedies like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, as well as in several successful action films, including Speed and The Matrix film trilogy. He was also a member of a grunge band, Dogstar, during the 1990s.Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon to Samuel Nowlin Reeves, Jr., an American geologist, and Patricia Taylor, an English showgirl and costume designer who was working in Beirut when she met Reeves' father at a local nightclub.

His paternal grandfather, Samuel Nowlin Reeves, was born in Hawaii to Charles Armistead Reeves, a Tennessee-born Irish American, and Rose Lokalia Miguel, who was of Portuguese and Hawaiian descent. His paternal grandmother, Sarah M. Victor, was of part Chinese descent. The name "Keanu" means "cool breeze over the mountains" in Hawaiian. Reeves was named after his uncle Henry Keanu Reeves, and the name is a short form of the name of Reeves' great-great uncle Keaweaheulu.

Reeves has a sister, Kim (born 1966 in Beirut, Lebanon), a half-sister named Karina Miller (born 1976 in Toronto, Canada) and another half-sister named Emma Rose Reeves (born 1980 in Hawaii). Kim Reeves is a devoted horse breeder, as well as an actress.[1] She presently lives in Anacapri, in the north of the island of Capri.

His parents divorced in 1966; his mother, along with him, left for New York City in 1969, where she met and subsequently married Paul Aaron, a Broadway and Hollywood director. The couple, who divorced in 1971, moved to Toronto, Canada, where Keanu grew up. Reeves' mother was later married to Robert Miller (between 1976 and 1980, and from whom he has a half-sister, Karina) and Jack Bond. Reeves grew up in Toronto, and as such he has dual Canadian and British citizenship. He worked at a pasta shop, sharpened skates at an ice rink, and was voted MVP on his high school ice hockey team. Within a span of five years, Reeves attended four different high schools in total, including a performing-arts school from which he was expelled. Reeves began his acting career at the age of 15, appearing in a stage production at a local Jewish community center. After leaving the Catholic boys' high school where he played hockey, he attended a free school which allowed him to obtain an education while working as an actor. He later dropped out, never obtaining his high school diploma.

Career

Reeves made his screen acting debut in Canada, in a 1979 CBC production, Hanging In. Throughout the early 1980s, he appeared in commercials (including one for Coca-Cola), short films and stage work in Toronto. His first studio movie appearance was in the Rob Lowe hockey flick Youngblood which was filmed in Canada. In it he played a Hockey goalie. Shortly after the movie release Keanu got a green card and drove from Toronto to Los Angeles in his 1969 Volvo. His Ex-Step father Paul Aaron who was a stage and tv director gave Keanu a place to stay and got him a manager - Erwin Stoff and agent before he even arrived in LA.

After a few minor roles gained the notice of the critics in 1986's River's Edge, a teenage drama which received positive reviews. Following the film's success, he spent the late 1980s appearing in a number of movies aimed at teenage audiences, including Permanent Record, a dark film about teenage suicide, and the successful 1989 comedy, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, which typecast Reeves somewhat during the next few years, as much of his subsequent portrayal in the press has been influenced by his portrayal of the comically airheaded character, "Ted".

During the early 1990s, Reeves appeared in both high-budget action films like Point Break and lower-budget independent films, including the well-received 1991 film, My Own Private Idaho, and the critically-hated 1994 film, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. In 1994, Reeves also starred in the action film Speed, which was a commercial success and raised his profile, leading to his casting in films like Johnny Mnemonic and Chain Reaction, both of which failed at the box office.

Hitting a low in his career, Keanu then did the unthinkable and turned down the role of Jack Tavern in the Speed sequal. He was reportedly offered $11 Million dollars for the sequal but opted instead to star in the horror/drama The Devil's Advocate with Al Pacino and Charlize Theron. Reeves deferred his salary for The Devil's Advocate so Al Pacino would be cast, and did the same for The Replacements, guaranteeing the casting of Gene Hackman.

His 1999 science fiction hit, The Matrix, re-established him as a Hollywood leading man, after a few years of films that received only moderate box office and mixed critical reception.

In between the first Matrix film and its sequels, Reeves appeared in several films that received mostly negative reviews and average box office grosses, including The Watcher, Sweet November and Hardball. However, the two "Matrix" sequels, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, as well as the 2005 horror-action film, Constantine, proved to be box office successes, and brought Reeves back into the public spotlight.

On January 31, 2005, Reeves received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
