Dlaczego w słowniku pisze, że oznacza to "straszny"? Zawsze myślałem że to znaczy tyle co "niesamowity" lub "świetny". Jak to w końcu jest?

No właśnie słownik dobry jest, nawet w internetowych translatorach tłumaczy to jako "STRASZNY; STRASZLIWY; PRZERAŹLIWY"

Awesome może nie tyle w sensie straszny, co poważny, trudny przez co czujesz strach - np. w odniesieniu do odpowiedzialności.
