Slasher11 [ Senator ]

Eee, raczej nie warto.

1) Structurally repetitive, predictable and, overall, dull. I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. Every 'chapter' is the same: Ezio faces adversity, but Ezio's allies think he isn't ready. They teach him some new assassin skills, which he learns in a few sentences of text then uses to – aside from a minor hitch or two – soundly trounce the bad guy, acquire a piece of the Codex and upgrade his weapons at Leonardo da Vinci's travelling weapons shop. They might as well print LEVEL COMPLETE at the end of every section.

2) This book, while an entertaining enough read, has the shallowest of storylines that follows a fairly linear plot. Character development is almost non-existent and it's basically just the script for another episode of the video game.

The hero moves from quest to quest, fighting ever-tougher opponents and gaining clues and better weapons as he goes until he faces the arch-bed guy at the end.

No surprises here at all!

3) I am disappointed with this book. I honestly thought it would be good. How wrong one can be. Don't get me wrong, the writing is perfectly capable, but the story and the characters were just...flat.

The only thing that could be praised are the parts featuring Leonardo di Vinci. But, unfortunately, di Vinci does not a story make.

I'm sure there are people who would like Assassin's Creed, but I'm just not one of them.
