[ANGIELSKI] Prośba o przetłumaczenie i sprawdzenie

Pozdrawiam

The characteristic animals.

Fish and birds dominate the Faroese animal life. The country’s national bird is the oystercatcher, can hardly be called especially national. It too deserts its homeland in the winter months for the warmer climes of the south.
In fact there are only a few birds that can be called especially Faroese. Of the razorbill birds it is not the puffin with its exaggerated and colourful beak that can be seen swimming on the coasts, but the more humble black guillemot with large white patches on both wings and blood red feet. Another is sturnus vulgaris faeroensis. It is large, he has a shinier plumage. Of other birds it is primarily the eider. The Faroese goose is a small goose, and is probably the oldest form of tame goose in Europe. The Faroese duck is a small, hardy duck, when slaughtered only weighing 3 pounds.

Going on from birds to mammals then let us mention one of the smallest, the Faroese house mouse. In Islands there are sheeps, which did thrive. The Faeroe sheep are of ancient origin, probably from wild sheep that existed on the islands more than 1000 years ago. The main use of the sheep is for meat production.

The Faroese cow is a small, often black or piebald, and is used for milking. Both sexes of the species have horns.

The Faroe pony is a strong but small pony. Its height is between 115 cm -125 cm. in the old days it was used as a work horse, carrying heavy loads, but now it’s mostly used as a child’s riding horse.

So much for the animals now we will speak about…
